Intex Inlet Strainer Kit for Stock Tanks & Pools

The threaded inlet strainer is a versatile accessory designed to enhance your swimming pool experience during the summer. Its primary function is to filter out leaves, small debris, and impurities, ensuring your pool water remains clean and clear, allowing you to fully enjoy the swimming process.

This inlet strainer is specifically designed to be compatible with Intex Filter Pumps equipped with 1-1/2" hoses. If your pump has 1-1/4" hoses, you'll need to use a 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" adapter to ensure a proper fit.

To install the inlet strainer, you'll need to find a 4" x 4" flat area on the side of your stock tank that is free of vertical ribs. Drill a 2-3/4" hole in this area, leaving at least 3/4" of distance around the ribs of the tank. Apply a generous amount of silicone caulk on the flat rubber washer that faces the tank, then insert the threaded connector through the hole from the inside of the tank. Tighten the connector and rubber washer as much as possible to create a watertight seal.
